Monte Dinero
Monte Dinero is located in the southeastern tip of Santa Cruz province, at the opening of the Magellan Strait. The farm, owned and operated by the Fenton Family since 1880, specializes in sheep production and is renowned for its exceptional wool and sheep genetics. It is situated in the Humid Magellanic Steppe ecoregion, a bunchgrass prairie dominated by Festuca gracillima. Notably, it was the first farm in South America to apply Savory Institute’s holistic planned grazing, a livestock management practice that helps ensure land regeneration, which is monitored via the Ecological Outcomes Verification program. Although the main economic activity is sheep production, the farm's innovative culture and lodging facilities attract tourists from around the world seeking to experience Argentina's rich agricultural heritage.
